Terms of Use
Last updated 16 October 2026
GlyphLink is a tile-matching puzzle for iPhone and iPad, made by an independent developer. By using the app, its App Clip or this website, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
Using the app
You may use GlyphLink for your own personal, non-commercial play and study. Please do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, and do not try to break, overload or cheat the server, for example by sending fake scores.
Accounts
You do not need an account to play. You can sign in with Apple or Google so your scores follow you across devices. You are responsible for your Apple or Google account. You can delete your GlyphLink account at any time in the app's Settings, under Account. What we store and why is explained in the privacy policy.
Leaderboard names
Your display name is shown to other players. Do not use a name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonates someone else or contains personal details. We may change or remove names and leaderboard entries that break this rule, or that come from cheating.
Multiplayer
Play fair and be decent to other players. Only share room codes with people you want to play with. We may remove players or block access for abuse or cheating.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we may send occasional messages about the game, such as new features, events or a board to try. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings. How the push token is handled is explained in the privacy policy.
Content and licences
The app and its design belong to the developer. The dictionary and stroke order data come from open projects, including CC-CEDICT, JMdict, KANJIDIC2, KanjiVG and Make Me a Hanzi, and stay under their own licences. Full credits are on the support page. Dictionary entries are provided for study and may contain mistakes.
App Store
If you download GlyphLink from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If it conflicts with these terms, Apple's agreement wins for the app itself.
No warranty
GlyphLink is provided as it is. We try to keep it working, but we do not promise that the app, the server, multiplayer or the leaderboard will always be available, error-free or keep your scores forever.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data or scores, arising from your use of GlyphLink. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Changes
If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
